So Muse released a new song called “United States of Eurasia (+Collateral Damage)”. Do they think they are Radiohead now so they can add parentheses like on Hail to the Thief? I loved some of their other stuff, but this new song is just….gay. It’s like some crappy musical (as if musicals don’t suck enough). If the rest of the album is like this, I’m definitely not seeing them live when they come to St. Louis.

Green Day is getting so desperate to sell tickets to their gig in Nashville at the end of the month, yesterday they did a promotion with Ticketmaster to sell a few tickets at $20 a piece. Hey Billy! You know what would make us actually want to buy those tickets?!? NOTHING! No one gives a shit about Green Day anymore. We knew Bush sucked before you wrote that snorefest American Idiot and we don’t give a shit about what 3 ugly idiots think. You can’t go from writing songs about masterbation and high school into writing songs about politics and believe that everyone will take you seriously. So yeah, fuck Green Day.

Leonard Cohen is going to be touring the US. Even better, he’s added dates in both Nashville AND St. Louis, so I can see him no matter where he is. Check him out:

Trent Reznor got rid of his Twitter account. Bummer. Now who will talk shit about Chris Cornell’s new album or the Black Eyed Peas.

Speaking of which, this picture still cracks me up:

Recently listened to Black Moth Super Rainbow. Why didn’t I get into these guys sooner? I missed their show back in June and now I’m bummed. Check em out.
Born on a Day the Sun Didn’t Rise by Black Moth Super Rainbow

Hollywood Undead is playing tonight. Ain’t going to that shit without a loaded gun.

In good music news, LA band Jubilee seems to finally getting back on it’s feet. After a brief hiatus and the departure of many of it’s members, frontman Aaron North has posted new pictures of the band’s new line-up. While not too many people can replace the great Michael “Mikey Shoes” Shuman on bass, Aaron has hired a MUCH better looking girl to play bass. She has played with Jewel, but we can excuse that. Nice one, Aaron. The band has left Buddyhead and moved over to North’s new record label, so hopefully the much anticipated album After the Crash will be released soon. We’ll be there the day it comes out.

The Dead Weather are kicking ass all over America right now. Check em out on tour:

Beastie Boys pulled out of Lollapalooza and every other tour date because Adam Yauch has cancer. The album will be pushed back as well since he’s going into treatment. As bummed as we are about this (since I was really looking forward to seeing them at Lolla), we wish him a speedy recovery.

Speaking of Lollapalooza, instead of following my advice and filling the Beastie Boys slot with either Oasis or Blur (but not inviting both unless you want to relive 1996), they got the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs. Bummer. Guess I’m going to buy a ten strip after all and go see Bassnectar!

Sounds like a whinny 13 year old girl bashing a band she knows nothing about. Green Day has been around longer than you’ve probably been born. Their music has touched the hearts of some and American Idiot was a ground breaking album. And lastly Billies name is spelled with an ie not a y. If you don’t know that much I’m not going to take your opinion on the band seriously.
