Hawk – Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan Leaked

One of my favorite working singer is Mark Lanegan. Lanegan started gaining notice back in the 90’s when his whiskey drenched vocals entered the grunge scene with his former band the Screaming Trees. He also made a bunch of awesome solo albums, one of which featured Kurt Cobain. He floated around after the Screaming Trees broke up, making more solo albums. He then joined Queens of the Stone Age and shared vocal duties with Josh Homme and Nick Oliveri on the band’s breakout album Songs for the Dead. He also put out one of the most badass albums of the decade, Bubblegum and awesome side projects like the Gutter Twins with Greg Dulli and a few albums with Isobel Campbell.

He has a new album coming out with Campbell called Hawk. If you look around the internet, I’m sure you can find it by now. I haven’t listened to it yet, but Lanegan hardly ever disappoints. Be sure to get your copy and check out Lanegan on tour. Saw him once with the Gutter Twins at Lollapalooza 2008 and on the Queens of the Stone Age live DVD. Dude is intense live. Definitely not a guy you want to heckle.
