Queens of the Stone Age Returns to Nashville

One of my favorite bands of all time, Queens of the Stone Age, have announced that they are finally playing some US tour dates. And one of those tour dates happens to be in this city. On March 20th, the band will shake hips at the Ryman Auditorium and all I can say is FUCK YEAH!

Following the reissue of their infamous first LP (which according to frontman Josh Homme , the cover is of the first black porn star), the band announced their intentions to tour behind the album and play it front to back. While they’ve done a great deal of touring across the pond in Europe, the band hasn’t played a real show on US soil since 2008. They haven’t played a Nashville show since I saw them open for Nine Inch Nails on Halloween when I was 15. Needless to say, when tickets go on sale this Saturday, I’m picking up the best seats I can get. I suggest you do the same.

Seriously peeps, this is one of the last great rock bands out there. They have heavy songs that can shake heads and hips, a 6’5” frontman who beats the piss out of hecklers and a do-or-die attitude that seems to be lost on a generation of people.
