Ty Segall Doesn’t Sleep

Ty Segall is pretty fucking cool. He writes some of the best catchy garage rock out there and shits great riffs easier than Charlie Sheen does a bump. I was bummed I had to miss his show at the End last Saturday, but I was busy getting drunk and being stupid on Bourbon Street. You win some, you lose some.

And it doesn’t look like Segall’s taking a breather in 2011. Fresh off Bruise Cruise, Segall’s staying prolific by signing with Drag City and releasing another album “Goodbye Bread” on June 21. No tracklisting has been released, but an acoustic version of the title track was recorded for Tripwire.

Goodbye Bread

Since Segall hasn’t made a bad album yet, of course we’re stoked for this and can’t wait to see what else he has up his sleeve for 2011. Check out some of his other songs below. He hardly disappoints and is one of the best ones out there.

Tour Dates:

3/11 Montreal, QC – Club Lambi
3/12 Toronto, ON – Wrong Bar
3/13 Kalamazoo, MI – The Strutt
3/14 Chicago, IL – Empty Bottle
3/15 Lawrence, KS – Jackpot Saloon
3/16 Norman, OK – Opolis
3/18 Austin, TX – Beerland (Goner Records party)
3/19 Austin, TX – Panache SXSW Showcase
