Low Release First Album in Four Years

I first heard about this band, well, 4 years ago. Apparently, it’s a husband/wife band accompanied by a third wheel guy (I’ve always wondered, if a band like that breaks up, does that mean they divorce too)? They released an album called Drums and Guns in 2007 that I magically stumbled upon. It was cool. It relied heavily on atmospheric synths and was calming, but not boring. After that album, I never really investigated them further though. Other stuff came up or I was just lazy I guess. I didn’t remember them until I heard the single today “Try to Sleep.”

I dig it and the video. The song kind of reminds me of Radiohead’s “No Surprises” in a way. The video isn’t too in-depth, but I dig the “Pleasantville” look that they have going for it and the ending is pretty cool.

The new album is apparently titled C’mon and was released on Tuesday. Whoops, I guess I slept in on that one. After hearing the single, I’m interested to see what else they’ve come up with in the past 4 years. It should be cool. Check out the album and the videos I have below.
