The Arctic Monkeys Leak “Reckless Serenade”, Tour America

On June 6th, The Arctic Monkeys are releasing their new album, Suck It and See and songs have started to leak one by one already. First it was “Brick by Brick” and “Don’t Sit Down Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair.” Then an alternate version of “Piledriver Waltz” was released on frontman Alex Turner’s solo EP. Today, “Reckless Serenade” became the latest addition.

The song doesn’t start off too strong and kind of threw me off with the “topless models” line for the first verse. It redeems itself as the gentle guitar melodies kick in during the first chorus. Turner’s wordplay becomes more clever as the song progresses and the song becomes more likeable. These dudes have been doing pretty well since they put out Humbug back in 2009 and every song they’ve released so far makes me wish the whole album would just leak already. Only a matter of time now.

Check out the other songs that have been released so far. They’re going to be coming to the States soon to play a string of shows. From what I hear, they put on one hell of a show and their songs, backed by the charisma and swagger of the band, come off as more energetic live. List of dates are below as well.
