The Arctic Monkeys Release B-Side As The Death Ramps

I know, I’ve blabbed maybe a bit too much about the Arctic Monkeys in the past few months, but I dig them now. They’ve gone from sounding like a typical indie band, to getting their own heavy, but clever  sound. After killing it this past weekend at Lollapalooza (I saw the webcast, the line up this year didn’t justify making a trip to Chicago), the band is readying to release the single “The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala.” On it, they’re going to be including a b-side, “Little Illusion Machine.”

They song is listed under the pseudonym, The Death Ramps, the Arctic Monkeys alias that they have been using since about 2007. It’s a cool track, worth a decent listen. It features Miles Kane, Alex Turner’s partner in crime on The Last Shadow Puppets. That’s another band I haven’t give the time of day, but since I found Kane’s new solo album underwhelming, I’m in no real rush. However, like I said earlier, this track rules.

The Arctic Monkeys are going to be hitting America again and luckily, they’ve added a Nashville date. Even more points to them for taking the Smith Westerns along with them. Can’t wait for that show. Check out the tour dates below along with a couple of the Monkeys’ other videos.
