Noel Gallagher Premiere’s “If I Had a Gun” Video

We’re weeks away from Noel Gallagher dropping his debut solo album (and according to this early review, it RULES) and to keep the other 6 people in America who care about it (myself included) interested, he keeps releasing tidbits. This week, he premiered the video for the song “If I Had a Gun.”

If I Had A Gun – Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds

Okay, so even I’ll admit the video is a bit too Taylor Swift-ish with the whole horse deal, but the song still rips. Plus, it’s funny to see Noel Gallagher, a man who once consumed enough cocaine to win gold medals for England, act as a nonchalant priest. The video is also a prequel to the last video they made for “The Death of You and Me,” which you can see at the end interlude. What’s even more interesting is the tidbit remix of the song “If I Had a Gun” at the end of the video. Noel has gone on record to say that the song has been remixed for his second album, a colloboration with the trippy Amorphous Androgynous, due out next year. It seems like we get a small snippet of that album as well with the video. Cool shit.

Also, if you haven’t heard the other single Noel has released, “AKA..What a Life!”, you can check that out below. That one rips too. Noel’s been killing it lately. He even recently showed why he’s still one of the wisest people in rock by calling out Lady Gaga for being the publicity whore she is. He called her “Madonna-lite.” Yeah, Noel’s a quote machine. This record needs to leak already. In the meantime, check out a couple more videos below.
