Little Viking Return With A Place to Bury Strangers

I think the last time I wrote about Little Viking is when they released the slow burner “the Romantic Egotist” last year. Since then, Mikey and Mike have been busy with Bad Cop and we haven’t heard much about Viking aside from a show here and there. But with Mikey parting ways with Bad Cop recently (amicably of course), it seems that’s about to change and Little Viking’s output is about to become steadier. They’re starting us off with a show at the Mercy Lounge. However, they’re bring some serious fire power to this one as they will be sharing the stage with A Place to Bury Strangers this Monday. Fuck yeah!

The band promises a good time covered with “new material and crazy shit projected on the walls” which sounds damn good to me. What more can be said about Little Viking at this point? They’re cool dudes who write good songs and you’re an idiot if you haven’t checked them out yet. That pretty much covers it. The same can easily be applied to a Place to Bury Strangers. I remember listening to their first LP in high school and thinking “this shit really rules. I hope they come to Nashville.” Well, they finally are and unfortunately, I probably won’t be able to make it due to lack of funds (your coach at home probably has more change than I do). Bummer. BUT, if you have the ability to go,  you have no excuse to miss this show. Go and get stoned to the bone for me. Check out some of the bands’ tracks below if you’re a bit slow and still need a reason to go.
