Spacemen 3 Catalog To Be Reissued

It’s a good day for anyone who owns a record player, likes trance-y/psych rock and probably has a bit of a drug problem. Fire Records has announced that they will be subsequently re-issuing the entire discography for drug-rock pioneers Spacemen 3, starting next Tuesday, May 14th. If you don’t know who these guys are, skip to the bottom, watch some videos and quit embarrassing yourself. The first three reissues will be their debut Sound of ConfusionThe Perfect Prescription and finally, the live album Performance. These will all contain the original track listing and all. No fancy extra tracks, but it does come on a colored vinyl. More are promised to come, but for the most part, the first two are all you really need. You can then dive in Spiritualized’s discography head first and skip all of Sonic Boom’s shit. Speaking of which, I wonder if Jason Pierce (of Spiritualized) is actually down with this or if this is just Pete Kember (of Sonic Boom) just cashing in like he has so many times in the past. I mean, I’ll endorse this cash grab simply cause I want The Sound of Confusion reissue, but otherwise, the dude’s kinda wack. Then again, you can tell that by his output since the band’s break up. But anyways, the label has posted one of my favorite songs, “Walkin’ With Jesus” for your listening pleasure. Give it a listen and of course, check out the other videos I posted below.

Sonic Boom? cash grab? I don’t think I’ve heard that one before. He’s one of the most respectable creative minds in music. I’ve also heard he does shut for real cheap when producing/mastering for small artists.

Srsly, tho. shut dat ass, hoe.
