The Stone Roses: Made of Stone to Show at the Belcourt November 6th

Since their Coachella reunion shows weren’t warmly received by us yanks, this is probably the closest we’ll get to having the Stone Roses come to Nashville. On November 6th, the Belcourt Theatre will have a one time showing of the acclaimed documentary on the band “The Stone Roses: Made of Stone.” The film follows the band as they reform following a 16 year split and details their career and their three massive homecoming gigs at Manchester’s Heaton Park in 2012. I’ve seen fan shot footage of the gigs, and it’s kinda awesome how after 16 years, the Stone Roses can play a gig and every single drunk Brit in attendance knows and sings the words to “I Wanna Be Adored.”

The showing takes place at 10 PM. If you happen to miss it, it’s already available on DVD. However, because I was a huge fan of their first album (you don’t need the second one at all, but the first one is ESSENTIAL listening), I’m gonna try to pay my respects by seeing it on a big screen. Besides, these Brits will probably never set foot in TN so this will have to do. You can get tickets for the show on Belcourt’s web page right HERE. The trailer is below for your viewing pleasure along with their essential debut album. If anyone wants to grab a pint and a smoke beforehand, lemme know.
