The Icarus Line Release Strange Video for “City Job”

Screen shot 2014-02-04 at 2.30.17 PMSay what you want about LA rock n rollers the Icarus Line, but one thing remains undisputed: they’re never predictable. Slightly disturbing sometimes? Yeah, but as some famous German dude once said, “All great things must first wear terrifying and monstrous masks, in order to inscribe themselves on the hearts of humanity.” With that in mind, I give you the new video for their new single, “City Job,” directed by Ward Robinson. See, this is the part where I try to explain what the video is about, but honestly, I haven’t a single clue. It’s an interesting watch regardless though and will probably prompt additional viewings soon after.

As far as the band goes, they wrapped up touring behind their phenomenal LP Slave Vows late last year and have been in the studio ever since, recording with a small band called THE STOOGES and apparently finishing up a companion record to Slave Vows, appropriately titled Avowed Slavery. More on that later, but to hold ya over, check out the “City Job” video.
