Are Ya Mad Fer It? Oasis to Reissue Their First 3 Albums

I love Oasis, and you should too. In fact, despite the fact that I’ve been preaching the good word about them for almost 8 years now, it seems like a lot of my friends are just finally starting to get how fucking cool they are. As for the rest of you, if you really don’t know who they are aside from “Wonderwall” and “Champagne Supernova,” then you’re doing yourself an incredible disservice. Lucky for you, they’re giving you an excuse to play catch up. This year marks the 20th anniversary that their debut album Definitely Maybe was released, and since it’s a perfect opportunity to revisit this modern masterpiece, the band is cashing in and doing a rad reissue campaign. This year alone will see the reissue and remaster of the 3 earliest Oasis records: Definitely Maybe, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory, and the pinnacle of cocaine rodeo albums, Be Here Now. First up, their debut is getting the box set treatment with LPs, bonus tracks, press articles and a bunch of other stuff that only superfans like me would kill to get their hands on. Not only that, but the band is set on reissuing their first ever demo on cassette. It’s an exact replica of the one that got them signed and even though I despise cassettes, even I think it looks pretty cool. The Definitely Maybe boxset is set to be released on May 19th. Fun fact: my birthday is a little under a week before that so if anyone wants any ideas what to get me, here ya go. You can view the different packages HERE. And if you haven’t heard this classic album yet, do yourself a favor and check out “Supersonic” and tell me that song is not great. Then hear the rest of the album below. Cheers
