Tennessee Scum Drop “Ghost” As Part of a Cassette Store Day Comp

I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned this band on this thing before. That might be because I’ve only seen them a handful of times live or that I genuinely have no real idea who the fuck they are. However, whenever I find that they’ve made their way onto a show I’m actually at, I’ve always enjoyed them. They’re entertaining and the music is usually just the right amount of sleazy that I want in my rock n roll.

Unfortunately, it’ll be a minute before any of us can see them in action again. According to the band’s Facebook page, they’ve canceled all live dates at the moment due to a pretty gruesome injury of one of their members, Mike Scum (get well soon). While that does indeed blow, the band is still lined up to release a new track on Cassette Store Day called “Ghost.” The track will appear on the Culture Cringe 2014 CSD comp on September 27 and you can give it a listen below as well. Also, if you want to further support the band, I’ve got to at least mention the dope t-shirts they sell on their BandCamp HERE. I’m partial to the Elvis one, but that’s just me.
